Ellora, Elephanta, and Ajanta, The Basalt Cave Temples of Western India

The DVD is a must for anyone with an interest in the rich spiritual heritage of their homeland, India.
Like the author of the film I too viewed these caves almost 35 years ago and although I'm not an architect, I have spent a lifetime on a journey of discovery similar in some ways to that Tom Bender appears to have followed.
To someone at the beginning of that journey, do not be daunted by the seemingly diverse subjects he tries to cover in the short space of one hour, especially if you are unfamiliar with the concepts he introduces. After many years of personal searching, I found the effect of the film was like viewing a well written symphony.
He uses other cultural parallels in his reference to the concepts he covers which will help both the Hindu diaspora and western seekers to understand the esoteric significance of these rarely publicised
'Wonders of the Ancient World'
Perhaps it will inspire a younger generation to visit other cave temples in India eg the Shiva 64 Yogini cave temple in Orissa and make a similar film.
