Chintamani means the "Mind Jewel" in Sanskrit. This incense is thus named for its ability to capture the mind.

Our Chintamani Incense is made from the following high quality natural ingredients: sandal-wood, kumkum (red powder prepared from turmeric and lemon-juice), costus, krishnaguru (black sanders), suvasika-pushpha (special fragrant flowers), white vala (the fragrant andropogon muricatum) and the bark of the deodaru pine. This fine powder is mixed with honey and then thoroughly dried in the sun according to traditional methods. The incense is a powdery red color, and when burnt creates a very strong and unique fragrance which will linger long after the sticks have finished burning.

When prepared according to traditional methods, this incense is given the name "Chintamani", for if a little is used according to the ancient prescribed ceremonies, it will make all the world submissive. This incense is used in vashikarana rituals for its influence over the mind.
